The Agreement Details section gives you space to explain how you and your spouse arrived at this Agreement. This is where you can outline the process you followed and the level of support involved along the way.
It’s helpful to note whether the Agreement was reached:
on your own,
with the help of lawyers,
through mediation, or
with other professional support.
Including this information helps show that both parties understood the Agreement and the decisions being made, and that the process was thoughtful and informed.
You’ll also be asked to include a date. This date should reflect when the final discussions took place, for example, the date of your last meeting, mediation session, or lawyer-assisted negotiation, rather than the date you first started working on the Agreement.
If you begin the process on your own and later involve lawyers or move into mediation, you should return to this section and update it to reflect those changes. Keeping this section accurate ensures the Agreement properly reflects how and when it was negotiated and finalized.
As with other parts of Divii, it may take a little while to finalize things. The goal is to it’s clarity and accuracy by the time your Agreement is complete. So before you sign, you'll review things in the Preview and go back to amend things.
